How to Calculate Bricks Needed
A standard modular brick is 8″ × 2.25″ with 3/8″ mortar joints. This gives about 6.75 bricks per square foot of wall. Multiply your wall area by the bricks per square foot. Add 5-10% for waste and breakage. An 80-lb bag of mortar mix covers about 140 standard bricks.
