What is KD Ratio?
KD (Kill/Death) ratio is the most common performance metric in shooter games. It is calculated by dividing your total kills by your total deaths. A KD of 1.0 means you get one kill for every death. Above 1.0 is positive, below is negative. Most competitive players aim for at least a 1.5 KD.
KDA vs KD
KDA (Kill/Death/Assist) adds assists to the equation: (Kills + Assists) / Deaths. This gives a more complete picture of your contribution, especially in team-based games like Overwatch, Valorant, or League of Legends where assists are valuable. Some games weight assists differently (e.g., half value), but this calculator uses full assist value.
