How to Calculate Mulch Needed
Measure the area in square feet and decide on your desired depth (2-4 inches is typical). Multiply area by depth in feet, then divide by 27 to get cubic yards. A standard bag of mulch holds about 2 cubic feet. Most landscapers recommend 3 inches for weed suppression.
