📏 Slope Calculator
Calculate the slope, distance, and midpoint between two points on a coordinate plane.
How to Calculate Slope
Slope measures the steepness of a line and is calculated as rise over run: m = (y₂ - y₁) / (x₂ - x₁). A positive slope means the line goes up from left to right, a negative slope means it goes down, zero slope is horizontal, and undefined slope is vertical.
Distance and Midpoint Formulas
The distance between two points is √((x₂-x₁)² + (y₂-y₁)²). The midpoint is ((x₁+x₂)/2, (y₁+y₂)/2). These formulas are essential in coordinate geometry and analytic geometry.
