📦 Speaker Box Calculator
Calculate sealed speaker box internal volume using driver Vas, Qts, and desired Qtc parameters.
Sealed Box Volume Calculation
The internal volume of a sealed speaker enclosure is calculated using the formula: V = Vas / ((Qtc/Qts)² - 1). Vas is the driver's equivalent compliance volume, Qts is the total Q factor of the driver, and Qtc is the desired Q factor of the sealed system.
A Qtc of 0.707 gives a maximally flat (Butterworth) response. Higher Qtc values (0.8–1.0) give a slight bass bump but less extension. Lower values give more extension but require larger boxes. These parameters are found on the driver's specification sheet.
