How to Size a Christmas Tree
To find the ideal tree height, subtract the tree stand height, tree topper height, and about 6 inches of clearance from your ceiling height. For decorations, a common rule is 100 mini lights per foot of tree, 10-15 ornaments per foot, and about 9 feet of garland per foot of tree height.
