📐 Dimensional Weight Calculator

Calculate dimensional (DIM) weight from package dimensions and compare with actual weight to determine billable weight.

What Is Dimensional Weight?

Dimensional weight (DIM weight) is a pricing technique used by carriers that accounts for a package's size rather than just its actual weight. It is calculated by dividing the cubic size of a package by a DIM divisor — 5000 for metric (cm/kg) or 139 for imperial (inches/lbs).

Carriers charge based on whichever is greater: the actual weight or the dimensional weight. This ensures that large, lightweight packages are priced fairly relative to the space they occupy in a vehicle.
