\u{1F50C} Electricity kWh Calculator
Calculate energy consumption in kilowatt-hours (kWh) and estimate electricity costs from watts and usage hours.
How to Calculate kWh
A kilowatt-hour (kWh) is a unit of energy equal to one kilowatt of power used for one hour. To calculate: kWh = Watts × Hours / 1,000. For example, a 100W light bulb running for 10 hours uses 1 kWh of energy.
Your electricity bill charges per kWh. The average US residential rate is approximately $0.12/kWh, though this varies significantly by state and provider. Multiply your kWh usage by your rate to find the cost.
