🫘 GFR Calculator
Estimate your glomerular filtration rate (GFR) using the simplified MDRD formula to assess kidney function.
What Is GFR?
Glomerular Filtration Rate (GFR) measures how well your kidneys filter waste from the blood. It is the best overall indicator of kidney function. A normal GFR is typically above 90 mL/min/1.73m².
The MDRD Formula
The simplified MDRD formula estimates GFR as: 186 x (creatinine)^-1.154 x (age)^-0.203 x gender factor (0.742 for females) x race factor. This calculator uses serum creatinine levels in mg/dL. Always consult your healthcare provider for interpretation.
