🏊 Pool Volume Calculator
Calculate swimming pool volume in gallons from dimensions and shape. Supports rectangular, round, and oval pools.
How to Calculate Pool Volume
For rectangular pools: length × width × average depth (all in feet) gives cubic feet. Multiply by 7.48 to convert to gallons. For round pools: π × radius² × depth. For oval pools: π × (long radius) × (short radius) × depth. Use average depth (shallow end + deep end) ÷ 2.
Why Pool Volume Matters
Knowing your pool volume is essential for chemical dosing, pump sizing, heater selection, and water replacement calculations. A typical residential pool holds 10,000–25,000 gallons. Chemical charts always reference pool volume in gallons.
