What Is VO2 Max?

The Cooper 12-Minute Run Test
Developed by Dr. Kenneth Cooper in 1968, the Cooper test estimates VO2 max by measuring the distance you can run in 12 minutes. Run as far as you can on a flat surface for exactly 12 minutes, then measure the total distance covered.
