📏 Waist-to-Hip Ratio Calculator

Calculate your waist-to-hip ratio (WHR) and assess your health risk based on WHO guidelines.

What Is Waist-to-Hip Ratio?

Waist-to-hip ratio (WHR) is calculated by dividing waist circumference by hip circumference. It is a measure of fat distribution and is used by the WHO as an indicator of health risk. Central obesity (apple-shaped) carries more health risks than peripheral obesity (pear-shaped).

WHO Health Risk Thresholds

For men, a WHR above 0.90 indicates moderate risk, and above 1.0 is high risk. For women, above 0.80 is moderate risk, and above 0.85 is high risk. WHR is considered a better predictor of cardiovascular risk than BMI alone.
