šŸš€ Acceleration Calculator

Calculate acceleration using a = (v - u) / t or a = F / m. Choose between velocity-based or force-based calculation.

What is Acceleration?

Acceleration is the rate of change of velocity with respect to time. It can be calculated two ways: a = (v - u) / t, where v is final velocity, u is initial velocity, and t is time; or a = F / m from Newton's second law, where F is net force and m is mass. The SI unit of acceleration is meters per second squared (m/s²).

Types of Acceleration

Positive acceleration means speeding up, negative acceleration (deceleration) means slowing down. Gravitational acceleration near Earth's surface is approximately 9.81 m/s². This calculator supports both velocity-time and force-mass methods.
