🏃 Velocity Calculator
Calculate velocity using v = d/t or v = u + at. Supports both constant speed and accelerated motion.
What is Velocity?
Velocity is the rate of change of position with respect to time. For constant speed, v = d / t where d is distance and t is time. For uniformly accelerated motion, v = u + at where u is initial velocity, a is acceleration, and t is time. Velocity is a vector quantity with both magnitude (speed) and direction, measured in m/s.
Velocity vs Speed
Speed is the magnitude of velocity (a scalar), while velocity includes direction (a vector). An object moving in a circle at constant speed has changing velocity because its direction changes. This calculator computes the magnitude of velocity for both constant-speed and accelerated-motion scenarios.
